Supportive Services for Veteran Families Program Manager

With guidance from the Director of Middlesex & Veteran Services, the SSVF Program Manager will screen referred applicants, assist applicants through the eligibility process, and if qualified, provide on-going oversight based on program requirements. The goal of the program is to promote housing stability among very low-income veteran families who reside in or are transitioning to permanent housing. The Program Manager will provide direct supervision and program oversight to case managers, SOAR benefit, and income and employment specialists.
Duties and Responsibilities
The SSVF Program Manager will assist in hiring, training, and supervising program staff and provide necessary oversight ensuring consistency and continuity of services rendered. Review program applicants to ensure that accepted clients fit program parameters. Provide monthly supervision to direct reports; perform file review, verifying all required documentation are including in the client's files. Refer ineligible applicants to appropriate community resources. Assign eligible applicants to appropriate internal services. Conduct landlord outreach and education efforts; market program information to federal, state, and other community partners; assist with property inspections and the leasing process. Attend regularly scheduled team and statewide community meetings as requested. Complete all required reports. Other related duties as assigned.
Highly organized, highly motivated, creative, financially literate and possessed of superior interpersonal skills, and computer skills with a strong desire to promote equal access and opportunity for homeless and at-risk veterans, many with disabilities. Must be able to work with diverse populations, occasional nights and weekends; able to multitask; experienced in the provision of social services; able to work independently or in groups; must have access to reliable transportation, a valid driver's license and BA or BS in Social Work, Human Services or related field plus; Master's Degree preferred; two years of direct care experience. Management experience required; experience with Veteran population preferred.

Salary: Negotiable based on experience plus excellent benefits
Schedule: Monday thru Friday 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. with some flexibility
