Chocolate to the Rescue!

Winners and Jim.jpg

We would like to express our deepest gratitude to the almost 200 guests who joined us at the Inn at Middletown for the 16th annual Chocolate to the Rescue! We raised close to $16,000 to benefit our Middlesex Family Shelter, including over $1,100 for Welcome Kits – basic neccesities for those those moving into permanent homes. Everyone involved – participants, guests, judges, emcee Jim Masters (pictured front, center), volunteers, musician, photographer, silent auction donors, wine donors, and sponsors - make our work to end homelessness for families with children in Middlesex County possible.

Congratulations to this year's winners! (pictured left to right) Tschudin Chocolates & Confections (Middletown) scored Critics' Choice Most Amazing Chocolate Flavor. Chip in a Bottle (New Haven) won the Critics' Choice Most Creative Chocolate Creation. Marjolaine’s Pastry Shop (New Haven) won the People’s Choice Most Amazing Chocolate Flavor and Purple Carrot Foods (Colebrook) took home People's Choice Most Creative Chocolate Creation.
