Housing Security
The goal of Housing Security is to keep people housed. Columbus House supports those with disabilities or at an economic disadvantage through a variety of services that deal with the many obstacles to maintaining permanent housing. The following programs are designed to increase housing stability and eliminate a return to homelessness.
Pathways to Independence
This innovative program was piloted at Columbus House in 2011 and has since become a permanent program, largely funded through state resources. The program recognizes the critical intersection of housing and recovery, addressing these through coordinated services.
Critical Time Intervention PlusÂ
Because some clients require only short-term services, we offer CTIP in New Haven and Middletown to address clients’ income and housing stability needs over a nine-month period.
