Crisis Care & Shelter
A Lifeline for Those Facing Homelessness
Our Rapid Re-Housing programs provide immediate, life-saving shelter and support for people experiencing homelessness. Each year, we help over 150 people get into their own homes in New Haven and Middlesex counties through this program. From emergency shelter to providing access to healthcare to personalized case management, our crisis services are designed to instill hope and offer a compassionate first step toward rebuilding a better future.

Medical Respite Program
This innovative program provides recuperative care to those who are homeless and exiting the hospital. In addition, the program lowers public healthcare costs by reducing unnecessary hospitalizations. Based out of our New Haven Shelter, referrals come directly from Yale New-Haven Hospital and the VA Hospital in West Haven. The 12-bed program includes 24-hour supervision, referrals to healthcare providers, transportation, and case management.
